Indagra Farm in Romania
Bucharest 5-9 November
Indagra Farm 2008, i.e. International Exhibition of Agricultural Equipment and Products and Animal Husbandry in Bucharest is the fourteenth annual cycle of this prestigious exhibition event. It is one of the most important events in this industry in the south-eastern Europe. Indagra Farm is organised by Romexpo, the biggest organiser of fairs and exhibitions in Romania, and it will be located in the Romexpo Exhibition Centre.

Romanian agriculture has been undergoing profound change, visible also in the presentations during the exhibition. The local market has been wide open to products imported from other European and non-European countries following Romania's access to the European Union.

How many and with what?
Last year Indagra Farm had a record number of exhibitors. Over 40 thousand square metres were occupied by exhibitors presenting their range of products, hosting almost 800 companies representing 26 countries. This year participation is similar. Agricultural machines constitute a considerable part of the presentations. One can see tractors, harvesters, loaders, cultivation units, machines used in plant protection, irrigation systems, as well as relatively simple tools for field works. Producers and distributors of certified seeds and artificial fertilisers will also present a broad range of goods. The fairs are of a generally agricultural character, therefore in Bucharest it will be possible to see farm animals and products offered by fishing, pomicultural and horticultural enterprises, including flower producers. The sector promoting modern agricultural technologies has been developing rapidly as well, the number of companies promoting such activities during Indagra Farm has been increasing every year.

In international company
Besides the hosts, exhibitors from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, Holland, South Korea, Lebanon, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Turkey, Hungary, Great Britain and Italy will take part in the fair. The participation of foreign exhibitors as a proportion of the total number of participants in the event has been growing every year, which stresses the international character of Indagra Farm. Currently foreign companies constitute almost half of all enterprises participating in the exhibition.

Last year there were about 35 thousand visitors during the fair. The organisers hope that this year the attendance will be at least at a similar level. According to the survey carried out by the organiser, over half of persons visiting Indagra Farm are representatives of agricultural business.

Another advantage of Indagra Farm is the fact that it will be accompanied by international exhibition All PAck, similar in terms of subject, in which almost 200 companies from 18 countries will participate.

This year Golden Autumn, the Russian Agricultural exhibition in Moscow, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The event is complemented by AgroTech Russia, the International Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery.

The event is co-organised by DLG-Agriservice, a representative of the German Agricultural Enterprise – Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V., Frankfurt am Mein, in cooperation with APK VVC on the Russian side, the biggest organiser of agricultural exhibitions in the country. The motto of Golden Autumn this year is "New Horizons for Agribusiness".

More than one quarter of the stands in the exhibition have been prepared by foreign companies.
